Frisco Freedom Fest 2020 begins Friday, July 3. Don’t miss your once-in-a-year chance to celebrate our nation’s birthday with fantastic food, great music and aaahhh-worthy fireworks! Please remember, Frisco Freedom Fest is a family-oriented event – no alcohol is allowed and dogs should stay home.
The real star of Frisco Freedom Fest is one of the largest fireworks finales in all of North Texas! Fireworks start at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 4th following the conclusion of the “Party in the Plaza.”
Friday morning at 11:00 AM race packets can be picked up. The first tournament begins at 6:00 PM, with a cornhole tournament! It will be located in the Simpson Plaza (west side), 6101 Frisco Square Blvd. *Please note, to participate in the cornhole tournament you must be 18+ and pay the $20 per team participation fee. Next, bring your dog for some more fun! As a warm-up to the Hotter ‘N Firecrackers 5K, dachshunds will race to earn fantastic prizes! The races, which benefit Collin County Animal Shelter, are pretty simple, but tons of fun! Next on the schedule is a Corny Dog eating contest! To end the night, the annual Hotter ‘n Firecrackers Glow 5K Run will begin! Participants will light up the night as they race through Frisco Square sporting flashing LED lights and their brightest fluorescent gear. Immerse yourself in the mesmerizing ‘glow’ effect, energized by the beat of electronic music.
On Saturday Party in the Plaza begins at 4 p.m. on Saturday and features a wide array of fun and exciting activities for families.
Fireworks will begin around 9:30PM Saturday night!
